Michael Chrisoulakis - Co-writer / Director
 
Michael began making films while growing up in Hobart, Tasmania, winning the Tasmanian Television Award for his student projects in year 11. After completing a Media degree in Canberra, he worked as a Commercial Producer/Director at Channel Nine, before moving to Sydney to pursue a career in film.
 
To date, Michael’s short suspense film, ‘Interchange’ has screened at many festivals worldwide and received awards including; ‘Short Film Winner’ at both the Telluride Indie Fest and Key West Indie Fest, ‘Best Film’ at the Eyescream Halloween Film Festival, ‘Best Thriller’ at the Int’l Festival of Cinema and Technology,  ‘Best Editing’ at the Fearless Tales Genre Fest. Michael also received the ‘Great Expectations’ award at the Sour Grapes Film Festival.
 
Michael's most recent short, black comedy, 'Death in a Garden' is in early stages of its festival run, having already screened at several both at home in Australia and in the US, where it was nominated as a finalist at the largest fantasy convention in North America 'Dragon*Con.
 

He is currently developing projects with Edmund Jory and Annmaree J Bell. Darker After Midnight will be Michael’s feature film directorial debut.

Annmaree J Bell - Producer
 
Annmaree's films have screened in over 80 festivals around the world, winning awards including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Cinematography and the coverted Audience Choice. Her most resent film 'Drowning' won the 2009 Gold at the Australian Cinematography Awards and has been selected for competition in the 2010 Flickfest. Her film 'Frail' won the best film award at the 2008 Bondi Film Festival as well as the gold award at the ACA's, it has also won best cinematography at several festivals. Her 2006 film 'a quiet spot' enjoyed a great festival run with several awards including best film and best cinematography.
 
In 2009, Annmaree produced 'Drowning' with writer/director Craig Boreham and 'Vinyl' with writer/director Ashley Fairfield, both with the support of Screen Australia.

2008 saw the completion of 'Rebecca' with co-directors, Kate Vinen and Liz Cooper and 'The Sound of Shadows' with writer/director Julietta Boscolo. Annmaree also produces music videos including Bob Evans - Friend, Kate Alexa's Teardrops and Australian Idol Judge Marcia Hines remix of Stomp with Deni Hines.

Other productions include, 'Untouched' awarded best experimental film, 'Closing Stages', Elemenopee and The Chess Set. Annmaree has just completed her second venture with Drowning director, Craig Boreham titled Ostia - La Notte Finale.

Annmaree has several feature film and television series in development including Darker After Midnight, Teenage Kicks, Memory of Breathing, Skymaze and The Last Reprieve.

Edmund Jory - Co-writer
 
While studying finance, Edmund began as a satirical writer for Australian National University student paper. Has passion for cinema led him to screenwriting studies resulting in a strong understand of film structure and creating complex characters. His continuing creative work on independant films in the areas of scriptwriting, script editing, acting and storyboarding run parallel with his life as a product manager at Macquarie Bank.
 
After writing several screenplays, his first collaboration with Michael Chrisoulakis - Note of Absence – won a production grant from Metro Screen, Sydney. They have continued a successful creative relationship having worked together on many screenplays and productions culminating in Darker After Midnight, which was selected in the to 15 screenplays (from over 200 entries) in the Australian Writers Guild Screenplay competition in 2006.
 
To date, Edmund has written almost a dozen short screenplays -- two have been produced into short films: Darker After Midnight - the trailer and Death in a Garden, and his is currently writing the short The Ridge and the River. He is also currently writing his next feature screenplay thriller, Stomping Ground.
