The weekly review said "At first glance a run of the mill teen drama, this harnesses its mirky undertones and implements some bold third act twists and revelations."

Annmaree and John attended Cannes film festival and market along with director Craig Boreham and actor Miles Szanto to present their short Drowning at the Cannes Cinephiles sidebar. Screening twice alongside feature film Passenger, Drowning screened to packed houses and received much praise.

Drowning won best short at the 2011 Melbourne Queer Film Festival. Fellow judge Tom Ballard said "Believable, confronting and sexy, Drowning details teenage angst without tipping into soap opera or cliche".

Ostia premieres at 2011 Adelaide Film Festival
Ostia La Notte Finale premiered to an enthusiastic crowd at the 2011 Adelaide Film Festival. Screening along side Luke Davies (Candy) short AIR, Ostia was received with great enthusiasm.

The Bind Cast and Crew Screening
Michael Chrisoulakis' short film The Bind, screened to a full house for the cast and crew screening at Hoyts EQ. Sharing the screening with Miri Stones 'drowning', The Bind received the reaction of screams and scares Michael wanted.

Drowning wins 2011 Queer Screen
Drowning won best short at the 2011 Mardi Gras Film Festival, Queer Screen. The film was seen in Hoyts EQ to a full house and received standing ovation when Drowning was announced.
